On September 28-29, the BATTEC Technology team participated in the biggest sport karting fiesta of the year on the streets of Kaunas – RIMO Grand Race 2019 karting race. It is one of the most beautiful and exciting karting competitions as Go-karts speeds up to 150km/h in the narrow streets of the city and even slightest mistake can crash you to the track curbs immediately.
The honor of BATTEC Technology team was defended by long-time participants of karting and car racing Gvidas Aukštuolis and Vytautas Ščiuka, team manager – experienced Touring Car Championship participant Eligijus Vasilevskis. Gvidas and Vytautas have been winners of this 4-hour endurance Go-Karting race in the class without gears twice before, but this time achievements exceed all expectations: winning secure 1st place in the class without gears and 3th place in the absolute standings leaving behind most of much quicker KZ2 and DD2 class go-karts. This was achieved by excellent racing strategy, high and steady racing pace and ideal use of changing weather conditions and rivals problem.
